How to create a recovery flash drive on Windows 8

After upgrading to Windows 8 product key or getting a new PC, one of the first things you should do is to create a recovery flash drive. In case your computer does not boot into Windows product key, you can boot from the recovery drive to fix the problem or use the PC Refresh or Reset feature from Windows 8. This article will guide you to create a recovery USB drive on Windows 8.
Users will need a free USB Flash drive that is at least 256MB. It's best to use a dedicated drive for recovery. Then store it in a safe place so that it can be used in any case.
Plug in the USB drive and press <> Windows + W and type <> recovery in the search field.
You can also access the Recovery Drive utility from the Desktop by calling the Power User Menu, going to Control Panel and selecting <> Recovery.
The Recovery Drive setup program will appear on the screen.
Note: If your computer uses a recovery partition, copy it to the recovery drive so you can return the system to factory settings. In this example, the system does not have a recovery drive.
Next, select the USB flash drive to use as the recovery drive. If there are multiple external drives plugged into your computer, make sure you have the right one.
A second message warns the user that all data on the flash drive will be wiped clean. Click <> Create.
Now wait while the drive is formatted and the recovery drive is created.
When finished, press <> Finish to close the setup program, remove the USB device and store it carefully.
From now on, whenever you can not boot into Windows for some reason, you can boot from the recovery drive and start fixing the problem.
